Longtime DD reader here - my wife and I just launched our first product on Amazon.  ::) In order to rank/survive, we need to get the ball rolling with some deep discounts to get some sales. We figured some people in the DDF might be interested in 97% off:)

Why does the label on the first image say that it's single compartment containers if it's actually 2 compartment containers (based on the title and the other images)?

I had Photoshopped that label onto the manufacturer's photo of the product before I had received the shipment.

The real label is correct.

group claim codes have no quantity limits, so it is pretty risky to create one with such a large % off. There are plenty of horror stories of inventory getting completely wiped out. We do have some out there, but for less of a discount.

Not if he protects the inventory that he doesn't want to sell out.
If he wants to sell 50 with promotion and he has 100 in stock, create fulfillment order for 50 units, select "hold for 2 weeks".
When promo is over he cancels the fulfillment order and inventory is back in stock.
