Walmart "No-Rush Shipping" Discount

Walmart seems to be also trying out "No-Rush Shipping" Discount. Noticed this at checkout.

The concept of no rush shipping credit is more than just reduce shipping costs and pass in discount. It allows them to use a diffrent model when staffing.
 Say for example there is a 10% increase of orders on any given day. They either have staff all month for all month with the campacity to ship that within two days. Or just offer shipping discounts (based on model thay build to determine the cost of overtime ect) and spread it out over 3 days.
 Almost like selling stock option

Walmart has a $35 minimum so more than .50 discount would be expected, but when your order at amazon is under $5, $1 digital credit is great...

I added to cart and clicked shipping options, and noticed the slower shipping option (arriving October 31st) is displaying a discount of $8.25 (22% off).

I've never seen a slow shipping discount from Walmart, nor do I know why they don't notify customers about the option. Further I don't understand why it's cheaper to ship to my house than it is to pick up from the store.

But I'm glad I noticed it and happy to share with everyone.

Might be something Jet implemented w/ them as they offered a (very) small slow shipping option. Just a different way to view their business and monetize their sales.

Wow it's impossible to shop on walmart.com now all products they want almost a dollar more if you have it shipped two day shipping and discount only applies if you pick it up makes no sense, I dont need two day shipping  (they don't even have the option of a slower shipping now) it used to be regular price as in store with regular ship to home shipping speed. Bye Bye walmart
