I resubmitted as I wrote above. Just got the processing email last night with a status of validation complete.

i got that as well and then an email about a duplicate order

I am having the same issue...
After speaking to CS last week and being told that it was fixed, I got an invalid e-mail last night
I called this morning and the CS agent told me to disregard any such e-mails, and that even though the website still shows invalid for the status , it is in fact valid and being processed......
I have a feeling I will be calling again soon...

I got a rejection email last week and called CS at the time. They entered another request for me and gave me a NEW rebate tracking number, but said I had to check it using the mail in tab rather than the online submission tab. When pressed she said it was rejected because I used a coupon, but even with the coupon the pro-rated price was above the ($46.99 X 2), so I don't know if that was some excuse for a bug in their system.

 I got yet another rejection last night for the original online request, but the rebate request the CS rep placed still seems to be valid and when I check it reads:

I already spoke to them a few times and they overrided it and I keep on getting an invalid email. I guess I'm just going to return the paper.
