Capable? Sure.

Likelihood given the past occurrences? Near nil, except for a UA clawback I've heard of through the grapevine.

Most times a rep says that it's either a scare tactic, and/or they're simply uninformed or misinformed.

I'm going to keep 1 card open to be safe and if they try and claw back on the other card I closed, I will use the SM as backup because they didn't say anything about clawback in it to me ;)

Posted on Monday but not transfer out, where can i transfer to other than making award booking?  I'm not sure why they mention 25K+ instead of 50k+ It looks like they only threaten to claw back the later bonus miles not the first purchase. I haven't close it yet because of this.  :-\

A lot of people upthread mentioned that they canceled or downgraded already. So either they are done with reading this thread or they had no clawbacks yet.

The SM didn't mention anything about clawbacks. It sounded like the miles wouldn't be accessible, which is obviously false. I'm still a little nervous.

I really have no idea. I was shocked to see BOA close accounts for 2/3bm. Not the bank I know that has been used and abused for many years.
