Chatted with two agents (one is a 'senior' agent), both said no refund even within 60 days.
1st Agent: I see that annual fee can be refund only if the outstanding balance is equal to annual fee and account closure request is placed on the account.
1st Agent: If the card is converted then also annual fee can not be waived.
Senior Agent: Please do note that the conversion of account will not waive the annual fee.

Are the agents correct? Or are they just nuts?

What if the "a few weeks" pass the 60 days refund time-frame?
Mar 8th is the 60th day after the annual fee charged, so hope they will refund before that.

I have the same issue as described by milaohu. Since you say the refund will come anyway in a few weeks, should I just go ahead and pay the $75 balance that is due in a few days and let them refund it to me as a statement credit on the next statement?

All I know is that I downgraded to a Better Balance and didn't ask for the fee to be returned, (I was planning on asking for that afterwards) and a few weeks later it was automatically refunded.

How long did it take for you to get your Better Balance card? My online account is finally showing the change (after a couple weeks) but I have no plastic.

I just had an interesting chat with a rep. I have a balance due on the 9th of $75. I kind of don't want to lay it out even if it will come back later as a credit. I asked the rep to help push things along.

She said there is no note on my account that the AF will be waived. I told her it doesn't need to be noted. She argued back that if it would ever happen, it would have happened already within 24-48 hours of the account change.

It's totally possible she has no idea what she's talking about, but I still gotta figure out. Do I just pay the $75 and wait for it to come back to me, or do I HUCA and HUSMA?

Let me ask: do people here have a heter to sell airline points. Seeing as it is stated in the contracts we are not allowed to sell, trade, or barter their points, my posek said it was asur. But we all know there are hundreds of buyers out there. Is there some heter I don't know about
