I thought the card isn't called travel Rewards but yea called again and the Rep said no problem to all 4 cards, Put it stinks that they have to do a hard pull to combine all the cards to one card.

I was talking about the pull if I combined all credit card limits to one credit card not to downgrade.

Would anybody mind telling me what the best play is for this card?

Cancel current card(s) the reapply?
Lower credit on current card to open up more credit?
Downgrade to a no fee card and use that credit as leverage in a recon call?

Or something I missed all together?

Thanks

Meant Alaska cards, so you want to shut the Alaska cards so you can reapply?

Thanks....it is my first post but I have been in the game for a couple years now, been checking out DDF for a little over a month and finally got around to signing up.

I have two open Alaska cards. I cancelled the first one about a month before applying for the last one (#3), I really want to supplement our Diners card (once it's back) with some extra Alaska miles and was just looking for any strategies people have found successful in churning the Alaska card.

My "long-term" goal for the Alaska card would be at least 4 apps every year for both my wife and myself and not sure if cancelling is the best bet to get auto approval on future cards, lowering lines etc.

Also on a side note, I noticed online that you can pay BofA on the phone.

Has anybody tried paying the Alaska (or any BofA) card over the phone with a debit card in much the same way you can with Citi.

I applied for 4 personal cards one after the other and got approved, first was instant approval, and the rest I called rec to get approved, don't close the cards rather downgrade to a Travel rewards card so you can shift credit if needed.

Dav.....

Appreciate it...4 in one go? Might want to up my standards (from 4 a year). Looks like I will be downgrading here in the near future.
