One of my four cards was approved as platinum plus, I called to upgrade to signature card. But I checked my mileage account, only 5k was post. Should I call to get another 20K or will it post automatically? Thanks!

how long does it take to get the $100 statement credit? does it post prior to statement closing?

Some before, some after--it all depends on BofA.

My wife applied for the card with the $100 statement credit 3 weeks ago and received it 2 weeks ago. She made a couple $40 charges on it a week ago. Still no 25K miles. I read that most people get the miles immediately after approval or within a week or so. She created the Alaska account just before applying. Should she just wait it out, or try calling Alaska? Or calling BofA?

Alaska probably opened a new account for her even though she put on her own, call and ask for the FFN

Happened before

Just checked, that's exactly what happened. AS created a new account number for her. Good thing the previous one was empty.

So this brings up the question-- when I apply and use 2/3/4BM, I'm assuming there's a good chance BofA or Alaska will mess up the FFN. Do I just call AS to combine them then? Will they give me a hard time for that?

You can call AS to merge the accounts. Reason to do this is if you want the same email address you used for first account to be used for second account as well. Email address can only be associated with one AS account IIRC.

One thing to help with BOA not creating new AS accounts is to make sure that the info on your existing AS account matches the info you gave BOA, in terms of name, phone number, and address. Slightest variation may cause them to create new AS accounts

Takes about 45 days for the extra 20k. But can't hurt to call.

Doesn't Alaska Air get paid by BOFA for all the miles that BOFA is giving out for the apps?

"in the first quarter... more people signed up for Alaska Air Miles card than any other quarter in the last seven years"
LOL! But it seems like they are happy so win-win. I wonder if BofA is going to be glad they got into this deal though.
