i am ASSUMING that he blogged about getting 4 Alaska cards at a time.

You assume corrextly --but it was 5 cards.

My scathing comment never made it through moderation.

A lot of negative comments over there. As you noted, they do moderate comments, so it's interesting that they let through so many negative ones. Probably about half of the comments were highly critical. I guess he enjoys it. Or it's good for business.

Were these your first cards with them?

Most of of us who are reporting hitting the brick wall are guys who are already saturated with BofA credit, and are lamenting the usual easygoing attitude about moving CL being replaced by complete shutdown.

OK. You are probably not at saturation point yet.

I'd love to hear from someone who hit the brick wall and somehow climbed over it.

when you say saturated do you mean current credit lines or overall abuse

Total Credit / Num of cards. They aren't talking like the Chase reps who confront you and basically accuse you of opening solely for the bonus. They just politely refuse to do anything other than the flat out decline.

do why not shut them after the points post

That's a different debate.

We are now dealing with the point where we already made the call of leaving the cards open (for leverage or any other reason) and followed in the footsteps of others who reported having no issues getting 4+ cards approved on one pull day.

And the behavior these last few days is different than that reported upthread.

Although if this pattern holds, you will see a lot more of us closing cards.

miles just posted and was wondering what to do...
Are the business cards a completely different avenue in terms of credit lines and how they affect our chances of getting approved

Did you get the statement credits yet?

-> Maybe keep oldest on open (possibly as a TRC) and close the others...
