They're not shutting people down for opening 3+ cards, they're shutting people down for opening 3+ cards and then closing them without paying the AF.

Got it. So I can open as many cards as possible as long as I pay the AF and both B of A and AS  are cool with that? Speaking of which, did you ever get your points reinstated?

i had cards opened in 2012 and got bonus and kept for one year. i recently opened two and closed them. after booking awards, alaska shut down  everything and even tells me even if you paid fee  for some cards  before, you are still not supposed to cancel . lol Looks like they want you to have alaska cards during the process of award booking. For them, the card and the mile is not separable! They threaten to bill you for awards you already used.

i will be talking to fraud supervisor in  few days for a brand new audit but i have no hope. I may go after them by complaints first.

so the only way to book a flight for me and my wife (if i dont have enough points in my account to cover both) would be to book 2 separate reservations using 2 different account?

I just applied for two consumer cards and was declined for one... I called recon and after a very long hold I was told that I can only receive one product per 90 day period. Has anyone else gotten this? Is this just a huca situation or did I mess up on something?

Update I tried to huca and was told immediately that my account is noted that I was given a no by a colleague and there's absolutely nothing that she can do no amount of fighting seemed to help at all. Are there any reports of recent success? Anyone? Or is this a lost cause.
