Why does Boa lie?

Here's what they chatted during an alaska card cancellation chat:

"Before I continue I recommend you redeem your point before I close any cards for you once there closed and the miles are not redeemed they will be forfeited."

Technically they are not lying because you will  forfeit the points that have not yet been posted to your account

Technically they're not lying because AS will claw back the miles when you cancel the card  :P

I thought it as only if you don't pay the AF, or have it refunded?

Is that a trigger (canceling)? I have a waived fee card open for almost a year thinking of closing..

Eh, do you recall whether it was before or after they were letting multiple cards get approved at a time?

If you get approved for an Alaska Airlines Platinum Plus Visa, instead of signature visa, with a $600 CL, do you get the 25k?

Visa Signature Cardholders receive a $50 discount towards a new Alaska Airlines Board Room airport lounge membership. Alaska Airlines Board Room airport lounges are located at select airports: Seattle, Los Angeles (LAX), Portland and Anchorage. Alaska Airlines reserves the right to revise Board Room hours of operation and limit the number of guests per room based on occupancy restrictions or adverse conditions at individual airport locations.

Does it work for a one time pass?
