I applied for 2 and was approved via recon  for 1 with 5 k limit, but denied for second app. Does HUCA work with bofa?

Can't hurt to try. Explain to them why you need two.

a little over a month ago I applied for the virgin Atlantic. Rep wouldn't give me 3 cards in such a short notice

Of course HUCA. That was my experience as well and on the first HUCA, I was approved for the second. I did present a nice case. You should too. The rep. was very receptive to my very low utilization argument. I gave the HSA reason for the second card, but I had to convince them to give me more credit too.

No didn't hit spend yet. Thanks for the tips though...update: called recon again and was approved for second app again with 5k CL. I gave them the whole thing with business/personal expenses. Weird thing was the rep mentioned that I had a great offer with the 50 k  and then she said that the annual fee was waived the first year. Clueless rep?
