Look, if he were doing this as a business he could've easily charged $150-$200 service fee (I know I'm cheap..) and client would be very satisfied with end result- which was getting approved for his mtg.!

Many times they can get something removed only to have it show back up in a few months.
They can get your account locked with a FA.
You can have something that will fall off in a couple years and they mess up and you have to wait another 7 years.

For example, they disputed something and then lost the dispute.. came off in the interim and then they reinstated it

Its not about how complicated it is.
Its about knowing whether or not it's complicated, and having the knowledge and experience to deal with it.

For the person on the receiving end, it's an error that's costing them money/affecting thier mortgage approval.
They don't care if it's small or big or stupid. They are willing to pay the same price to have it removed, no matter which level it falls into.

To them its all the same - it's an error that they have no way of removing on their own.
