Magento 1.9.3.4 or Magento 2
« on: July 27, 2017, 12:15:32 PM »
Hi I am working on creating a website, and the developer told me that if I use Magento 1.9.3.4, it will be a lot cheaper and quicker to complete (since I already have a rough website using 1.9.3.4). Is there a reason to spend more money and time to use Magento 2? Please let me know. Thanks

Apparently he already has a Magneto site. I guess some/alot of the work is loading and setting up the content?

That is correct. I have a Magento site that is very raw, and was just set up for presentation purposed. Now, the job is to upload the items to the site, and to finalize graphics (as well as to roll-over customer info, from previous old site). The new Magento site was set up in 1.9, and I am now deciding if I should keep the 1.9, and make all the necessary revisions, or spend the extra money and go for the 2.0.

I found a pretty decently priced developer, that has done a lot of nice work for people in the community (although they are Indian, they have some good results to show for themselves). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand. Your going along with Magento community, correct? So what $$ are you talking about?

2.0 will cost about 4,000, and 1.9 will be about 3,000
