UBER extra stop

I am taking an UBER with a friend to the airport. MY friend lives about 15 blocks from me. Can I order an Uber and  we pick up my friend before we get on the highway? Does Uber allow this?

Yea no problem. Maybe If the driver is an idiot, he'll protest it, but I've done it on pick up and drop off. The "meter" is running the whole time anyway, unless of course it's a set price.

Lyft allows this in-app. With Uber, it could mess up a preset price.

A great feature that lyft has. Don't know why uber still doesn't have the option.

+1 did it before, the driver put my stop off address in his own waze app and went as if it was a detour all it did was add on to the mileage and time charges.
