Fine for me, but I haven't upgraded due to many reports of battery life plunging after the upgrade.

Now that you mention it. It does seem to drain faster.

Lots of forums and blogs saying the same.
This is why I didn't upgrade my Note Edge and why I probably won't upgrade my Note 8. The downside always seems to be worse than the upside.

It's horrible, I was at 50% just 3 hrs ago (and that was after needing to charge earlier this afternoon). Was on the phone for 35min and next thing I know I have 7%.

Same bug that people had on the Note Edge after upgrading. I fell for it on the Galaxy Nexus, wasn't going to make that mistake again.
Ploy to get people to buy new phone perhaps.

Or buy more of their unique chargers.
Either way I just got this phone

Guess waterproofing the phone was the trade off

S5 was waterproof and swappable.
Tradeoff was for a functionally awful glass back because the reviewers thought it looks pretty (even though now you need a case to cover it, because its GLASS).
State of the smartphone market is so sad right now.

Contemplating it, but I really like the stylus -love the glimpse feature - though the novelty may wear off.

I mean return it for the Android 7 that the phone was built for and don't upgrade to the buggy 8.

finally switched over from my note 8 to the s9 plus, I must say I am impressed.

Camera - amazing

speed - incredible

bluetooth- much better

and a bunch of other small things.

What made you switch?

Wasn't the camera already incredible and the speed already amazing?
I mean it could be the s9 plus is better but curious why you upgraded.

Yup, I don't see any compelling reason to upgrade.
Then again I also didn't upgrade to Oreo.

I've basically made every note/Galaxy switch since the s5, this is turning out to be one of my better switches. The phone overall is significantly faster, the camera is significantly better, and there were a bunch of Bluetooth issues that were fixed. Additionally I am liking the Oreo a lot.

I wouldn't upgrade on the older hardware, never seems to work out.
