You're being medayaik too much

I'm not being medayaik enough if you still don't realize "reservations" ≠ "rates desk"

I'm pretty sure all these desk are just fancy names reps make up for when they don't know how to do something on their own

Ha, perhaps, but whoever is working rates desk often a) prices it as it should be and b) overrides the rep you're talking to.

They let you speak to them? I've never actually spoken to a rate desk, they just put me on hold while they talk to them

Great discussion.

I think this should easily be allowed, but the UA rep said no after lots of checking.

TLV - CLE (destination)
CLE - TLV (stopover)
TLV - BKK (OJ)

HUCA, or are they correct?

(Part of the issue may have been that it was econ to CLE, and biz for the second 2 segments. Is this possible?)
I got them to ticket mine using the above routing.
TLV - NYC - CLE
CLE - NYC - TLV
TLV - IST - BKK

But I had my families on a different itin since they had a different departure date. When I called back to have them ticket theirs (30 hrs after purchasing it), they told me that it was not valid, but would be an around the world pricing. And they marked my PNR, since the next rep I spoke to told me that I was already told this.

Advice? Should I argue it with them rather than hanging up and HUCA, or am I out of luck?

If someone can call this is in and get it ticketed without future restrictions, there is a $60 AA gc waiting for you.

Pesach flight and these are the last direct seats.
I'm concerned that the inventory won't re-enter.

Wow!!
After 3 incredibly angry hours on the phone with UA that resulted in nothing, their social media folks at Twitter called me, and took care of e/t. And the infant tik priced out at $600 less than it was for me :)

Props to them!

Tweeted them a few times, and then DM'd.
The final infant fare was $380. I think the original was around $950.
$380 seems to be too low for my routing, but if they processed it manually to override the system, then maybe they didn't include the TLV - BKK leg.

I'm finding that Twitter is very powerful for cs purposes.
I've been having discussion with LY and AA as well.

UA announced at the DO that they were just starting to heavily invest in Twitter reps.
How did the ticketing process work?

He called me in Israel and I told him what happened to me.
He said he would look into it, and respond via DM. 2 hrs later he told me it was all ticketed. (Reps had told me I had to drop the TLV - BKK leg)

Another interesting data point.
Only one Israel departure tax of $24 was charged even though I'm departing there twice.

How many layover (<24 hrs) can I have on an itin? Is there a max or any rules regarding them?

Meant to say with United
