If you are driving from NYC to YUL then there won't be anyplace for them to check it to.

Or am I just confused.

I think you're confused. After reading his post x3 I think I understand.

You can check in NY. Just go to the check in counter and tell them you have bags

Yes you would, just go out of the secure area and to the checkin counter. there is no reason why they shouldn't let you check it in.

PS. I got it now, I thought you were flying YUL-TLV nonstop. Now I see you mean YUL-NYC-TLV

I don't think it should be a problem. How is this any different than gate checking a bag or in middle of a trip checking in your carry on.. I don't think you should have any issues.

I really had a hard time following the conversation..... But how do you plan on getting on the airplane from YUL to NYC without a boarding pass?

For airlines that allow stopovers can you make stopovers in both directions on a round trip flight.
Does the stopover in each direction need to be at the same place.

UA/US/DL only allow one stopover. AA allows two but must be at north american gateway city.

I was trying to book LAX-EWR, EWR-LAX then LAX-OGG using UA, they want to charge me an extra 10K miles for the stop over. I always thought that domestic stop overs were free.

Nope. Delta allows a free one.

I have definitely booked UA without paying extra in the past. They are charging me 37.5k for this itinerary instead of 32.5k
