I am trying to book LAX - NYC- YUL- LAX with  3 days in both nyc and yul, can I do this with United for 25k? If not, which airline would allow it?

Delta would. If you can find availability. UA will allow it but charge your more than 25k.

While that's true, the itin is still a round trip in it's entirety.

Can only answer for United, but yes, you book it as a multi-destination ticket. It will come up it is a legal simple trip but I see for deep reservations you will have to call.

Very cool.

Essentially "direct" flights (as opposed to non-stop) are priced as their origin point as far as the stopover is concerned, as opposed to the NA Gateway city.

Question is if this can only be booked online or with an AAgent. I imagine it can be booked on phone as well, because AAgents don't manually price awards.
