Bc there are no free stopovers on a paid ticket. It all cost $$. Only on mileage tickets do these rules apply.

Nothing cool in terms of spotovers and open-jaws. Not until they completely align with US (when I hope they'll adopt at least their routing rules).

Does a CX Z itinerary booked through AA qualify for a free stopover?
Flying home from PEK-HKG-JFK (this one) and was wondering if I get an extra JFK-* flight at the end :)

AA does not allow stopovers on award bookings, period.

I assume the wiki is outdated as FWIU AA doesn't allow stopovers anymore. What about UA?

True. No stopovers with AA awards.

UA still allows on round-trips.

Both AA and UA are booked as one-ways, so both allow "two OJs."

So with UA something like this would be possible?: EWR-HNL(dest.)-LAX(stop)-SFO-EWR

Can you explain? I've been explained this before but I always like to be reminded when I see knew hypothetical cases.

Is this booked as a RT (must be or how else do you have the free stop)? But then how do you also have HNL and SFO in there?

Please don't scream, those who have already explained this to me.

No screaming, I promise  :)

So let's try and break it down per leg:

1) EWR-HNL
2) HNL-LAX
3) SFO-EWR

Got it?

Heh thanks.

So is that booked as 1 RT ticket? HNL is your stop and LAX is an OJ?

You can say so. Or HNL is the destination and LAX/SFO is the stop/OJ.

Why can't I use HNL as a connection to another island for the same amount of miles?
