Help Choosing Card for High Annual Spending
« on: March 11, 2014, 06:31:26 PM »
I currently use an Amex Platinum as my primary card, but I'm looking to switch as I will be significantly increasing the amounts I will be charging and would like to optimize the miles/rewards.  I will be charging approximately 150-160k on the card in the next year.  The largest portion of that, by far, will be my rent, so that won't fit in any bonus category.  I am also looking to use one card only, even though I could accrue more miles using different cards for different purchases.

As for usage, I would want to use miles for hotel stays and air travel - mostly short domestic flights, but also longer international flights or upgrades on international flights on occasion.

I am thinking of SPG, Amex Premier Gold, or one of the Chase Ink cards, but am very interested in what people think would be my best option.

Thanks!

Ari
