I am flying out of TLV tomorrow and have a layover in Rome for two days. Can I buy duty free products in Tel Aviv and keep them sealed in their packaging so I don't have to pack them in my checked luggage when I leave Rome for the US? A friend suggested this might work because you have to go through the same security checkpoint as if I was just connecting internationally...
