My guess is that any hotels in the US with private pools aren't part of any chain that takes points for said room.

W SoBe technically has Mega rooms with rooftop pools that they might upgrade to, but anyone on a higher floor in the tower can see into your pool, so nothing like the privacy you would have in an Airbnb.

I'm okay with not taking points for the room. I've found a bunch of chain hotels with private pools in Arizona in the past. I understand that these will be suites I'd need to get upgraded to, but that's a different issue. Simply finding the hotels is hard because "private pool" is not one of the filters you can input on sites like Marriott.com, Hyatt.com.

The W SoBe calls the Mega a private pool, but it wouldn't meet that need for many frum Jews if you want total privacy.

Thanks for pointing out this thread. I'll worry about tznius privacy after I find the hotels that actually have one. My definition of private is where the pool is only for use by those staying in your room.

Even for non-US, I assume you need to have mega status like you, not a stam yid.

I stayed at a hotel called African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa in South Africa not too far from Joburg and Pilanesburg. It can be booked using Marriott/Spg points starting at 15,000 Marriott points/night. The villas have big private pools and I was upgraded to one, I can honestly say it was probably the greatest use of points I ever did, the place was absolutely amazing! Absolute steal, and just an amazing stay.

also, define "pool". The LeMeridian in SMonica has a private outdoor jacuzzi on the balcony that may be as large as some of the FL plunge pools.

Not available with points, but it has a great view.

The Courtyard Marriot in Stamford Connecticut had some rooms with jacuzzi's when I was there about two years ago and they upgraded us to one with no problem or charge.

Ok im actually having a hard time finding a list out there of points hotels with private pools- the object of this thread is to compile a list of hotels worldwide that 1) you can book directly into a pool room and the cost 2) a hotel with a base room that has the option to upgrade.
