The beach in Miami in not good imo and the weather is too unpredictable in the winter to be able to count on. Cancun in January wasn't hot when we went, but it was in the 70s in cancun the same weekend that had 50s in miami.

Woo hoo, looks like all units have private plunge pools and ocean views and should be able to use annual free nights. I know from a past trip to Cabo that the Chabad will deliver food (you do need to tell them ahead) and they are very nice. Looking forwarding to going here!

As per Maldives, it's not always cheaper will be to book hotel directly or using points.

Seems like worth it and so close and easy to get to (at least for for me and the way coast). And can use free night certificates here even at that high point level.

Any idea for nice hotel with suites and private whirlpool/pool available for points redemption in Palm Springs? I used private villa in the past, but now I can't find real nice ones, only for sky rocketing prices, the one I've been to has doubled the price and it's almost entirely booked for the winter, so I guess I would look for the best villa resemblance in a hotel.

MR's profits are down and redemptions are up, the CEO knows that, all of this was part of the earnings call. Not a good sign for the consumer.

I doubt they'll realize the facts.

PPL dont trust them and are emptying their points stacks fast.

Yes I have, It has been on Marriott.com before this article referenced was posted. Common sense tells us normal redemption rates just wont apply. Its all part of some deception. hopefully ill be proved wrong.

Remember a short time ago STR NYC was always 30K points and now its 100K on sought after days. There were a ton of hotels that were so much cheaper to book even on the low side of dynamic pricing. This is just the beginning. Their earnings calls tell it all. Instead of taking the SPG approach of loyalty they are taking the HIGH road for HIGH money (so they believe).

Members for the time being, are less happy then before. Their member rate for stays is at a all time high, somewhere like 63% of guests are members. Now just imagine a percent of those being unhappy and having alternative options.

Sometimes you just gotta be realistic.

This is just noise on the outside
