Google Tannersville NY vacation rentals. There are some nice places up there, and you'd have a minyan too.

I recently found a hotel with an in-suite pool. Though not in the tri-state area, it is definitely closer than Las Vegas or Florida. It is called Belamere Suites, and is off Interstate 80, near Toledo, OH. It is about a 2 hour drive west from Cleveland. I stayed there for two nights and was extremely pleased. It is much more classy than what the reports coming out of the Cove Poconos seemed to indicate about the cheesiness of those resorts. There are three suite selections: Jacuzzi (500 sq feet), Pool (1000 sq feet) and the top tier is a Pool suite but bigger- 1500 sq feet on two stories. They book up a few weeks in advance, and the only one I was able to get for the dates I needed was the biggest one, and I was extremely pleased. They are not affiliated with any points program, AFAIK, so you must pay full price. IMO, it was worth every penny. Every suite has a one-car garage. There are no windows, and their policy is not to allow children at all. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean.

you can get kosher food (limited) in Toledo too. They used to have a yeshiva, but I think they've since moved to west bloomfield. ( or s/t like that)
