Best way to park a number
« on: August 22, 2017, 08:00:11 PM »
I'm going to be out of the country for several months at a time this year. Obviously, I don't want to pay for months I won't be using the phone, but I don't want the hassle of porting myself around when arriving in the States.

I'm part of an AT&T Business Unlimited plan and use an iPhone SE. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Google Voice

When you are inthe US get  prepaid plan and forward your GV

You can also switch Project Fi on and off

Contact ATT and see if you can start and stop service

I really should contact AT&T. Wouldn't mind switching to Project Fi altogether, but I really don't want to get a new phone.

Problem with Google Voice is that I want native service when I enter the US.

I'm on the same plan, you can suspend the line up to 180 days not sure if it's per year or just 180 straight..
It's $10 per month

Interesting.

With Verizon there no charge for a suspended line

-1 maybe depends on the plan.

Numberbarn charges $5 to port and then $2/month to park.

yeah but you get free text forwarding.  The $5 is refunded is park for a year - which I guess wont work for you.
