While GE always seemed to have say that prices were different than Costco in-store, it never seemed so egregious.

As a matter of fact, GE has "quick reorder". I loaded up a cart with items I bought in the past:





And compared it to prices I paid on GE - everything is higher, including items that are currently on sale.

Give it time. Seems like its a store by store basis. There were stores that hicked up their prices several months ago while others (including mine in li stayed the same).

Walmart was data mining long before Google was born. It was part of their strength.

I doubt Walmart is giving away something for nothing, or that they are oblivious to the value of their data. With voice ordering Walmart is gaining access to Google's AI, and Google is gaining a huge customer base to improve and perfect their speech recognition and AI.

I was thinking quite the opposite.
There's no reason Walmart needs Google as a middle man besides their incompetence to build out their own service.
OTOH, Google doesn't sell goods (besides a few a electronic devices), they sell services, and getting Walmart to sign up was a home run for them.

They will have access to all the data....

I'm pretty sure all of that data will be sandboxed (unless they agree to share some operational data).
Walmart ain't that stupid, and they can be quite extreme in their measures. Walmart recently forced their 3rd party service providers to stop storing Walmart data on Amazon servers (AWS).

Based on what I read the pink color comes from sulfur. Its only benefit is of giving a protein flavor to food, which vegans might be missing.
