Sometimes, when if I've returned to a munimeter ticket, I stand around waiting for someone else to return to their car, and ask for their muni receipt that is valid over the time of my ticket.

I just got a parking ticket in NYC. I forgot to get a muni meter ticket. Any way of getting a muni meter ticket for that time? Any other way to get cleared?
why didn't you try to get a muni-meter ticket after you got the ticket?
You can always take your phone out and clean the guys windshield with a tissue or your hand and take clear picture of the muni-meter receipt crop it print it and either mail it or upload it online, you never need an original when submitting a ticket. ( or at least I can say that for a parking ticket.)
Ps; whatever you do just make sure it doesn't look like it's a picture.

I remember with the old meters whenever it was broken all you had to do is take a bag/ garbage bag and put it over the meters head and you're good to go, sometimes people even taped up the bag around the muni-meter that way it would take time for the muni meter person to check if the meter is working or not, most times they would go on and assume it's broken, or if you're really crazy like the few times I saw someone taking off the muni-meter off its stick.
They moved on to newer and more advanced method of tickets which give us many more ways to                 ( fill in the blank).

Or when I really have a heart for the person that got a ticket and it hurts me to see they got a ticket I spend the quarter and dump the ticket under his windshield wiper.
( too bad I lost count of how many times I did this.)
 :)
I know what you guys are thinking your never going to pay for the meter again hoping someone will pay for your ticket and put it under your windshield wiper. Lol

I used to do that, but only when I had to make a certain amount of transactions on my card for the month.

Lol.
I guess that explains all my free tickets I had on my windshield when I came back to my car ;).

Receipt must be within 5 min of ticket being issued.

seeking advice.
I received a ticket for double parking while being parked on 13 ave and 49th st. on the ticket it says the address of 3907 13th ave
I have proof that I was on the moment the ticket was written on 49th st (bank receipt) and I'm the only driver of my car. is this sufficient evidence?
TIA

You have a proof that you are at location A.
How is that a proof that your car was not left double-parked several blocks away at location B ??

A picture of your car (double parked) at 4907 13 ave might be proof.  You wold not then be ticketed for the actual infraction.  But it would prove that the ticket was written incorrectly.

Any idea on what I should do?
I was sitting in my car in a no parking spot while talking on my phone, as for the reason why I was in the no parking spot, while on the phone I see from behind a muni meter man (saw him myself) as I was just about finished my phone call I sped away not having to worry about the muni meter cop telling me to move even though it's legal to sit in your car in a no parking spot, but to my surprise I got a letter in the mail stating I was parked in a no parking spot exact spot I was in while on the phone and saw the cop, what a sneak, comes from behind scans my plate and now what would I use in defense to fight this $60 ticket?
Any specific info I should use while fighting this ticket online? Thanks

Do I understand that it was legal for your car to be there if there was an operator inside, but not legal if there was none?
Maybe use your cell pone records to show you were on a call at that time, so you were pulled over.
