It will not go viral from your feed. Those posts were spread around as being of interest specific to your blog. The real question here will be if it gets picked up by other blogs and eventually the media.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but there is some sort of realization that things can go wrong when flying.

The whole flight could have been cancelled and they could have ended up in a hotel for the night either way.

Now I realize that is not the same thing as being singled out and being the only ones forced to spend the night.

I also wholeheartedly agree that it was ridiculous to choose minors and not even try to offer the bump to someone else.   

I feel awful for the mother and the kids because it's a horrible feeling.  But at the same time I do feel that  at the very least you have to be prepared for normal complications that arise.

The issue here is holding IB responsible for their behavior.   Whoever wants to discuss how safe it is to send kids alone and how responsible you are etc is welcome to open a new thread.

Yeh exactly why I hate FT. They seem to think it's shticky to bash a op like this and defend the airlines. To the contrary you will always find some nice members as well who will defend the op.

I personally was arguing that point for the mother sending her 17 year old on a plane.     Just that they could have ended up in the same hotel room under other normal circumstances. That's all.

 I think the airline is totally wrong.  2 separate things. I think the article is totally justified and I hope they apologize, own up to their mistakes  and compensate accordingly.
