Forced doesn't need to be physically forced. They were effectively forced off their booked plane ride to TLV.

I think forced implies that they were actively removed as opposed to being denied boarding/left behind.

Your final sentence about time for laws against bumping minors needs to be stressed and expanded (especially since we hope and expect this story to go viral).

I would suggest doubling for children under 10 or seniors over 80. Quadrupling (or more) if no one in the travel party is between the ages of 18 and 75, tripling if any passenger in the travel party is disabled.

Those multipliers should be cumulative (and were only given as possible examples).
