As a regular DansDeals reader and occasional poster, I find myself a little overwhelmed with where to start as far as credit cards when it comes to the card rewards and points/mileage dance. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
While I currently have a few cards, I am happy to restructure what I have and use.
Current cards: Costco Amex (3% gas, 2% restaurants travel and Costco, 1% elsewhere), Discover Cashback Bonus (occasional 5% cashback), and Citi Thank You (nothing special). I travel occasionally for work (6-8 trips/year, plus 3-5 personal trips), and about 40% of my air travel (combined work and personal) is Southwest or Amtrak (for NYC). We are planning a family trip to Israel in the next few years, so that is a factor (the recent ElAl price error didn't work out). I have no loyalty to any airline or hotel chain that can't be broken.
