I checked my booking on Air Canada website, they have both my name and my husbands without a space bet first and middle, so that it looks like 1 long first name. Is that an issue?

They may not add the taxes because the system apparently base the taxes off the taxes you paid for adult fare, in this case non.

i say that I tried it and the system wouldn't issue the ticket, I let you try if you want

Yes. With an overnight you can (must?) claim your bags in Toronto.

Well, it's YYZ which could be a long distance hike, you also need to allow time for Canadian customs and check-in and security lines. I would say at least 2 hours or possibly 3 to keep it safe, but I will let more experienced travellers chime in. Maybe schedule an appointment for a Nexus interview while you're there, it's half the price of GE, includes GE and helps entering Canada too. Kids under 18 can get it for free.

i booked my trip for purim, and mistakenly chose flights on shabbos. AC said that they would honor the tickets, but not any changes to it.
I still have a few hours to cancel it until 11:59 PDT.

I've considered same day changes and standby, and decided I wont do those.

Any suggestions how I can still make use of these tickets?
