I spent every minute of the 4 hours looking for more routes and sample date while ignoring my wife's birthday and my kids on a Sunday morning.
Posting screenshots and instructions for every possible way to book is a massive time suck.
Never mind that Chase was down.

I get it.
I was asking more out of curiosity than criticism which a lot of people wrongly assumed.  Those people should don lkaf zhut and not jump on every opportunity to attack or protect you

Also keep in mind even with fare glitches buying for example in this case 4 tickets for a total of lets say $1200 maybe still be out of reach for some or extremely difficult for them whereas points would only cost you the taxes which may be more doable.  Thats why I thought it may be important to mention it.

It amazes me how some people still don't get the "book now, plan (cancel) later". One guy told me he was trying to figure out first where to stay & by that time he missed it.

Problem with people booking 5 itineraries in such a case, is when flights "artificially" sell out, and then there's only flights with 2 stops for the dates you want etc. Then all those people booking multiple itineraries, or people booking when they're 95% sure they can't go, or just in case, or even just to feel like they were able to snag a good deal, cancel their itineraries, leaving the person who actually needed those dates, with the weaker option, because he wasn't as quick as those just randomly booking. 

Not saying people shouldn't book if they have half of chance of going. But to grab multiple dates when you know you're only going to use one of them, tops, can be unfair.

Maybe @Dan should add that as a subheading whenever a HOT!!! airfare or travel deal pops up "Expert Advice: BOOK NOW, PLAN (or cancel) LATER otherwise you might be kicking yourself..."
