Just curious why people are going at nearly freezing temp
Skiing?
Bottom line, anyone around this week to join in a minyan?
Join this group. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/TannersvilleJC/infowhatsapp group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JB4x7O6NWad1tzc0jvoqDcYou'll notice that "JS" (the gabbai) posted about possible minyan this week after some expressed interest. LMK if you can't get into the group. My understanding is that there is often a minyan, but must ensure via group beforehand.Edit: added whatsapp group
The whatsapp group link did not work. Can you check it again?
can anybody comment on kosher food options in this areaI think I see only 1 local small grocery store?
There is a local shop open in the summer months in Tannersville (country k). (Groceries and pizza etc takeout)Otherwise the nearest plan open all year is in Albany
thanks for your response! would you say country K is stocked well with plenty of options chalav israel, takeout etc.. in the summer whats in albany that's worth the drive?
Country K is well stocked over the summer.
They are stocked, and I think they sell fresh pizza too, even on ms'k. Store is expensive.
how expensive? more than typical mountain prices?
Expensive enough for people to bring their own. Don't have price list....Don't quote me but CY milk .5 gal will likely go for close to $4-5. Doesn't stop people from shopping, but it's more of a convenience store than anything. U part of whatsapp chat/yahoo group?
wow that's a lot for milk is that more than the prices at Woddburne, fallsburg etc...?no whatsapp for me just textbring their own from where they drive down to Monsey to stock up?
In Tannersville yes, multiple minyanim at Anshei Hashoran, and I assume at Chabad, Boston, and Kibbutz as well. Not sure about Hunter.
