I think the hotel makes the vacation, and its worth traveling somewhere just for an amazing hotel.
Please tell me the most amazing hotels you've been to in the US/mexico/Caribbean/Canada.

Personally I just spent a couple of nights in a gorgeous suite at the Baccarat NYC, would have to say that was my number 1 and it was what got me thinking about starting a thread like this.

Loved the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem.
(Though, I'm not that much of a "hotel goer/stayer")

ETA: Wooops... I just realized this is about US/mexico/Caribbean/Canada...  :-[

I asked for Western hemisphere but ill let it slide :) There was no Waldorf in Jerusalem last i was there...visit is overdue , i gotta check it out.

Well, if you look down the Pacific then WAJ is to the west of the US/mexico/Caribbean/Canada...

Four Seasons Maui is probably once of the nicest I've been to.  Sun Palace Cancun is also very nice.
