Business School is all about building a network, so NYU/Columbia>>>>>>>>>>>Baruch
I agree. That is why I want to stay in New York city.

I am in one of the NYU programs. For finance I would look into Baruch Business school.
Baruch only offer Finance in their MBA program. I dont have any work experience to apply for MBA. I think I only can apply for their MS program. I want to go to Ibank after grad sku. any suggestions about what I should study?

Don't go to school assuming it will be the cure all to get a job. You may just end up in a lot of debt with no way to get out of it
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Very true.

Wharton is way better than Baruch for the same reason. Honestly if you're not willing to go out of your way for this you might want to look at a different profession.

Just my personal opinion.

I am going to Zicklin starting in Spring 2013 for a part time MS in Marketing.
It is probably the 3rd best business school in NYC and it is way cheaper than the other 2 (NYU, Columbia). Like insanely cheaper because it's CUNY (might be more if you are from out of state though).

It was ranked the #1 value school by US news and world report (measured by starting salary to student debt ratio) in 2010.

Thats a ridiculous statistic. Its not worth an extra 5% to make an extra 5% because then the ratio will be worse?

IMO it's not "value" as in the value of the investment (otherwise it would be something like sum of future income/tuition) - it's taking the affordability of the investment into account (what good is a 150% return on an investment on an initial investment you can't afford). Basically, it gives real working people on budgets a look at how easy or hard it will be to put themselves through the school through the degree and the years after. It's a really, really, really cheap school.
