If I allow ads it takes over the whole site so it's kinda the same thing.

So block sites that have too many obtrusive ads and let them know why you block them.

Those sites are ridiculous, I agree. But that doesn't mean you need to deprive all sites of revenue needed to pay the bills.

+1 I unblock sites that I feel deserve it and have a reasonable amount of ads.

The Brave browser (on Android) makes it very easy to choose which sites to block and which to allow.

Right, and Google doesn't want to be showing you your wife's ads either as you're less likely to click them.

In any case DD was actually added to an elite Google ad program a couple days ago where logged in Google users should start seeing much better ads imyh.
