Go for it,I have upgraded a couple years ago, with 50,000 points at that time, my daughter got the same offer you got for 100k points and she did it.

I would not do it, just to be on the safe side with Amex, but who knows, it can also go smoothly, anyone done this before? Interesting to find out.

i applied for surpass 100k plus free night. was auto approved. same day i upgraded non af hilton for additional 100k points with 3k spend
