Why does it matter if it was in a school ? But it does seem to be in some sort of authoritive setting.

And maybe the girl doesn't seem embarrassed but maybe she went home and she was.

And maybe she wasn't and parents just had issue with the whole thing in general.

Everything on the internet needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I wouldn't judge EITHER side too quickly.

At the end of the day though I wouldnt be surprised to see this happen in a school. But that's a sep story.

Because the baal halashon on YW falsely accused them in public of embarrassing the girls in front of their class.

You have a point there, though someone definitely posted it to Whatsapp and someone took the video without anyones knowledge or consent in a private setting. But either way, there is one HUGE difference when it come to passing judgement, in one case you have peoples pictures and voices and school name plastered across the net along with who knows how many negative comments, on the other hand, in regards to the video, no one knows who took the video and there is no consequence to them or to their reputation.
(Can you imagine what those 2 teachers are feeling tonight, I pity the one responsible for this)
Yes, def. But again they may have taken the video in a harmless way or for good reason. They weren't necessarily trying to harm anyone. So yes I def feel worse for the teachers in that regard.

Their faces are blurred online. And as for sharing videos.

Well, we share videos.  The video sharing isn't necessary the problem if they did nothing wrong.

It's all the comments and nasty talk and negativity. Which isn't productive even if they DID do something wrong.

It may have been in some sort of public setting, but was definitely not in front of their classes since school did not start and they are not wearing uniforms.

I fail to see why that detail is THAT important.   Could it be camp?

Anyways... I'm out.

What difference dpes it make if it was in a class or in front of other girls, which the video clearly shows that it was. It was in a school setting, that is without question. You should really watch the video before you commented. Your defense without the facts that are obvious in the video are cringeworthy.

The process that is displayed in that video has nothing to do with frumkeit. It is a process in which girls are debased and publicly humiliated if they dont conform. There is a better way to do this. What should be mocked is the process. Not the intent behind the process.

Im wondering if nit checking is done the same way. Are girls sent home in public or is the girl politely taken aside and the parent called?

The process is broken. The making of ikar taful and taful ikar is what is laughable.

It is much more difficult to enforce standards on mothers and much more questionable if it is the right thing to do. To have and enforce standards of students at the school is much simpler.
Enforce standards?

The mom's should know better. Isn't that what the chinuch in school is for?

It's obviously shallow and hollow if all the girls know that once they become an eshes ish they can have hair as long as they feel. This is exactly what is wrong with the chinuch system. Not the ruler.

I know that when I was growing up the boys stood in a line and had their hair checked one by one.

Hey y'all, regardless of what you think about all this a video has been uploaded to YouTube of a woman measuring a girl's hair. The family that is in the video has reached out to me to try to at least control the damage. If anybody knows the "maleirikud" user on YouTube can you please forward this message that they would like the video to be removed. Thank You!

apparently it was done by lice check but I'm not sure why that matters...

Why would a school enforce tznius if it's not for chinuch? Don't tell me it's just part of a meaningless uniform?

I'm being Dan lekaf zechus that the beis yaakovs are indeed trying sincerely to instill tznius into the talmidos.
But I agree that obviously something is seriously amiss if the normal beis yaakov standards (re length of hair for eg), simply don't apply the a vast majority of the graduates. Are they teaching it wrong? Or what? I don't know.

That is not the same thing as what you said before. Of course it is to teach them but there are limits to what the school is able to do. Yes something is amiss. Maybe they are teaching it wrong. I think that most girls only understand it as a bunch of lines and numbers which really misses the boat.

could it possibly be that things like lining them up and measuring their hair are responsible for that
