World MasterCards That Do/Don't Cover CDW In Israel Master Thread

I have a Spirit World Mastercard from Bank of America. I called customer service and they said they cover the whole world, no country is excluded. I asked for it in writing that they will cover my rental in Israel. The representative told me that all I needed was a copy of my terms and conditions. She said that she didn't know how to get me a letter.

A CSR from Chase Saphire Preferred told me that it says on her computer that the reason Israel is not covered on their end is because "of the danger of roadside bombs."

Got the Ink Classic card, looks from the terms that it does cover, but would check it out if i needed it.

Call the customer service line on the back of the card, tell them you have a specific question about the car rental coverage and ask them for the number of the group that handles it.  WHen you speak to them, they can email or fax you the letter stating the conditions under which rentals are covered in Israel.  It's a group at Mastercard itself, not the issuing bank (i.e., not at Capital One or other issuer).
