Mandatory evacuation is one thing. But many people are not in flood zones and will just be subject to fierce winds.  If they hunker down in a strong structure, I hope they'll be ok.

NMB is 4 miles inland and not in a flood zone, my building is old and crappy roof, the association has ignored my requests for years, ill have to move my good wine if the storm continues.. was in SF so I decided to head to chicago for the weekend (with a case of wine)

I was wondering what they meant when they suggested that one should only pack the necessities :P

According to Google, traffic clears up a bit after that.

But did anyone think of closing the southbound side and allowing northbound cars to use it?

They asked the governor he said to dangerous, and not as many people were evacuated then...

It's a 500 mile+ stretch.

Also... I heard Georgia is accepting sunpass
