Yes
You apply for the new card and if denied, you can use your Ink as leverage.

I applied for the business one back in august when this promo ran and got denied and they didnt want to transfer the credit line from ink. is it worth it to try signing up again or should I try calling again about my original application even though it is more than 30 days old and would req. another pull anyway?

I got two cards and my wife got one.

Do they allow a spouse merge which would then get me 150k?

You can't spend another 6k on your cards?

I'd rather spend on others.

Do you have an answer to my question?

Question about companion pass. Dan wrote in his post that you should hold off finishing spending until after dec statement closes, so it'll post in January 2014, so I'll have the pass until 12/2015.

but then how will I get a companion pass at all, because it says all 110,000 points need to be earned in the same calendar year. if it doesn't post until january, then it's not all in one calendar year.

i already have one SW card with 52k. I'd apply for the other one, and spend 8k more, so i'll have 110k. but I still don't see how i can finish spend in end of dec, have it post in january, and get companion pass for 2 years.

please clarify. thank you

All 110k points need to post to your SW account in the new calendar year. Dan was likely talking about a situation where someone is applying for both cards together, not your situation where you already earned rewards this year.

So is there a work-around? If one applied for the card in 2013 is there any way to have the CP work through 2015?

The posts here are a bit-overwhelming for me...
To confirm, I can apply for both SW cards in two weeks,(I.e. the 28th) Dont do any big spending till the new year (65 days later) finish the spending in Jan, and qualify for the CP - Valid till 2015.
Is this correct?
Thanks!

If I got approved for 2 sw cards and my wife for 1, Can the accounts be merged so that it'll post as 150k in one year?

Dan, can you confirm that this doesn't work? From your post about SW, it seems that you CAN do this...
