I have the sw plus card fit the past year, just got approved for the sw premier card.
I want to shut the plus card down. According to the terms, would I be able to reapply for it in the same day and get the bonus?

I shut down my SW premier card a few months ago, but it's still showing in my chase account (says it's inactive).
Is it safe to apply for a new one? How long is the recommended wait time?

You should be fine, there is no clear recommended wait time but a couple months is certainly enough.

according to the terms i don't think you can churn these cards at all, that being said if you get approved you should get the bonus.

Yes
I cancelled my plus card and reapplied in the same day. I got declined for duplicate cards, but got it approved after some HUCA.
Hope I get the bonus, not sure why I shouldn't though.

read through the thread MONTHS ago so I probably read it but forgot it... A bit hard finding the answer now...

Q: In order to get companion pass - Do I need to have all the points into the account or can it be that they've been in the account at one point? IE: I have 50k in the account now and want to sell them. When I sign up for another card and get the other 50k, will I not get the companion pass because I didn't have the 100 points at one time?

i think that you just need to earn the 110K in a single calendar year.

Look on your SW account by the CP where it shows the %age earned towards companion pass. That stays the same even if you used the points in your accnt.

Is there any way to transfer to sw at a more than 1:1 ratio? The southwest market is completely dry

I have a SW rapid rewards plus personal card and want to get the premier personal and premier business for the 110k pts and companion pass. Is it advisable to apply for the cards and - if denied - appeal for them to cancel the plus and transfer the credit to the (hopefully) approved premier card??

Please advise!
