Amazing thanks.
Do you know when the deal is going to expire? It obviously makes a huge difference for CP purposes. Also Im sure its been asked before and I can find it in the bylaws of CP but would you be kind enough to tell me if flights booked with points qualify for the CP or only if you actually pay for the fiight.
TIA

No idea how long this will last. It shouldn't make a big diference, Apply now, finish the spend in 2 3/4 month and you can fly 2 years for free.
Award tickets also qualify.

While I'm really in no rush (my AF posted on 11/1, so I've got 50-something days) my statement closed today and it shows that I've earned my anniversary 6k. If I cancel the card now before the points post to my SW account (it usually takes 2-3 days) do I risk losing the points? I don't plan on doing it, this is more of a theoretical question, which I guess is true of any points going from a credit card to a loyalty program.

I closed and didn't lose my anniversary points.

You closed it between the points showing up on the statement and them posting to the SW account?

Sorry! I didn't read your post totally! I waited for the points to post to SW before closing. I meant there was no clawback.

I'm about to do a 3BM for SW Plus (Personal/Business) and the Marriott Rewards. Two quick questions, should I apply while I'm logged into my Chase account or just as a standalone application? and, does it make sense to apply for these cards for the CP? I'm planning on hitting the bonus points and transferring the Marriott points to RR, will this work or should I just focus on the SW cards.

Thanks!

1) I don't think there's a difference whether you're logged into Chase or not.
2) The 2 SW cards will get you 104K miles. You can transfer some Marriott > SW to get the last 6K or you can do MS to get the last 6K if you don't want to deal with a 3rd card right now.

Additionally, keep in mind that going for a Chase personal and Chase business card often does not work in a 3BM in regards to the idea of getting only 1 pull. It will often be 2 pulls.

How does it work to transfer from Marriott > SW an have it count towards the CP.

Not sure the steps involved. Good the CP and read one of the blogs that describes how to do it.

thanks. although it makes more sense to try for the CP at the beg of Jan to have it for the full 2 years. Just hoping that the cards will be around at 50K each at the end of December

get it now. you have three months to spend the 2k per each card. (effectively 2 months since you want the points to post in 2015)
then you can spend 6k whenever you like to finish it up

I don't know the answer to your question (I believe it's a "no") but you can get 2 personal cards for yourself + it'll only be one pull (as opposed to personal + business).
