I applied for the SWA card and forgot to put in a new FFN so I made a new one and gave it to them and I asked to get a confirmation what bonus I will get and this is what they answered me.

Dear ****,

Thank you for contacting Chase regarding the Southwest
Airlines Rapid Rewards® Credit Card and the bonus premium
offered to new Cardmembers.

Please note that the new Cardmember bonus offer is not
available to either current Cardmembers of this Premier
credit card, or previous Cardmembers of this Premier
credit card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the
last 24 months.

Since our records reflect that you have previously
received a bonus of 50,000 Reward Points on 8/24/14 with
Premier account number ending ****, this account is not
eligible to receive the premium.

Southwest Airlines has informed me that since your
original Rapid Rewards number ******** has Flight
reservations attached to it, they can't close and
consolidate into the new Rapid Rewards number you created
*******. Once all the reserved Flights have been used
you may then request to close and consolidate into the new
number *******.

Do I have a chance in getting the bonus somehow?

When you put in new FFN's you don't need to wait 24 months.

Did anyone ever get two different personal products, put in the same FFN and get both bonuses?

I just did that, I got the premier and plus personal bec I couldn't get approved for business.

I hope I'll get both bonuses.

Yeah but you left the FFN blank and then hoped that if you called and added your new FFN, it would work. Definitely no data points that that's safe.

For the first time?
Make a SW FFN and put it into both apps. No "trick" involved. You're allowed to get both cards.

You're allowed to get both cards but how do you know they won't say it's "one bonus offer per person" no matter how many cards

Because that's never happened.

How do you know? ::) Ummm, personally, I know it's purely anecdotal evidence, but I would base it on the fifty people I personally know and the hundreds of others on this forum and myself who all DAVKA applied for a premier and a plus at the same time in order to get the companion pass.

Are you supposed to make a sw accnt first ?

Simpler that way. If you leave the FFN blank on the aps, it could possibly create two separate FFNs for you... although in that case, you could still just merge them.

Ok and if I have gotten the card in the past and now apply for it again I should first open a new Accnt with sw or just leave the fun blank on the app?

It depends how long ago you got the bonus. If it was 24 months ago, they will give you the bonus again. No need for a new FFN#.

Correct, that's the official rule. Many people have circumvented the rule by creating a new FFN and some report getting the bonus even without creating a new one.
Not sure about checking past products. Look at old emails maybe? I try to keep all old cards for reference.
really? cool! can you point me to those reports?

This was a year or two ago, now i always change just because i don't want to take chances

Update: I just signed up for yet another plus and premier to lock in cp for my wife for 2015 and 2016, i see that although i made a new Rapid rewards account, one of the too got linked to an old RR# that got a bonus about 12 months ago, yet the points posted last week.Point being, unless it happens to get noticed churning on the same RR# can work
