Update: I just signed up for yet another plus and premier to lock in cp for my wife for 2015 and 2016, i see that although i made a new Rapid rewards account, one of the too got linked to an old RR# that got a bonus about 12 months ago, yet the points posted last week.Point being, unless it happens to get noticed churning on the same RR# can work

when you say that your points posted last week,
then are you referring to bonus points?
And it's been more than 12 months? Or less?

Any reason to keep any of these cards open after the points post?

Update:
I had applied for a cc without any FFN they naturally added my current one which I had just received the bonus 5 months ago. I then proceeded to make a new FFN and have chase add it but they never actually changed it in their system.
My statement closed last night and I called this morning and they said the 50k points have been sent over(to the old FFN)!!

Will update when it posts.

I've closed my SW RR Premier card within 60 days of opening it. The annual fee was posted and paid.  Do I need to request a refund, or will they refund it automatically?

My current FFN has a CP expiring this year. I am planning to create a new FFN and apply for two cards and get a new CP.
Is it easy to merge the new FFN with old one including the CP ? Do they ask why we have two?
Thanks.

I applied for both Southwest Premier and Plus a little while ago with a 2 b/m to get 50,000 each and spend another 10,000 to reach a companion pass.

In order to not pay the annual fees on these cards I was told that you can close them within 60 days... I did my 10k spend now I'm just waiting for my points and companion pass to post....

1. Anyone know when it will post or how to expedite it?
2. The 60 days is from approval or activation?
3. Will I forsure not loose the benefits if they are already in my Southwest account?
4. What reason do I give them for shutting down 2 southwest cards?

1) It post on the day your stetments closes it may take 2-3 days until it showas up in you Southwest account, you can expdite it by moving you closing date.
2) 60 days from the day the AF is charged
3) What benfits? if you mean points they cant clew back. if you mean free suitcase etc. you will loose those
4) close only 1 and move over the CL to the one you leave open and tel tham you dont need 2

Thank you!

2) If it goes by when annual fee posts it only posted 2/01/15 so I guess I'm good because Ill anyways close another statement before then.
3) Yes. I was referring to points and Companion Pass (Bags are anyways free on Southwest)
4) They wouldn't want to close both for me and let me move both CL's to a different card such as my Saphire or Freedom? (They are actually my largest credit lines to date 9,000 each, and I have no use for them on these cards anymore, once I reach my companion pass)

My current FFN has a CP expiring this year. I am planning to create a new FFN and apply for two cards and get a new CP.
Is it easy to merge the new FFN with old one including the CP ? Do they ask why we have two?
Thanks.

Have you seen/heard that you can't earn a second CP when you currently have one?

Wouldn't you want to do this later in the year so you earn in in 2016?

I am planning to do AOR and wanted to churn this with new FFN. I read few pages but could not understand if we eventually merge both the FFN or keep both.
I was following FT until now and my understanding was that chase cards can never be churned and 24 months have to be followed strictly. Recently I stumbled on this site and realized the wealth of information here. I came to know about 2/3BM as well.  :)
Is there wikki somewhere to understand all this instead of asking lots of questions?

Is there a threshold that we should wait past?  I'm ready for my next round of SW cards...
