Whyd did you wait? You should've just applied for both on the same day...

. I couldn't find a $50k link for both and needed to pay my homeowners insurance which almost met my minimum spend for one.  Does it matter if I waited to apply for second one?

I am not following, the current public offer is 25k the only way to get a 50k offer is through a referral from someone who currently has a sw plus card

How do you justify need for both Premier and Plus?

(This would be first business card in my wife's name. In past when I opened business cards for my business, they gave me a hard time asking for full breakdown of expected income, expenses etc.)

No difference, unless you think explaining why you need a business card will be hard. I usually go for 2 personal because of that.

Not sure why you'd want 3 unless you want 150K points.

I've also never been asked why am I applying for 2 SW cards on the same day.

Was a long time ago, so I don't remember, but based on how few Chase cards I've been instantly approved for. I'd imagine I had to call. Just apply for 1 at a time, as always.

Could be I did the first time, 2 years ago, but I've learned my lesson since. There's a thread somewhere here debunking the old myth that a 2BM means better chance of instant approval. Ask TimT to help you find it.

But on the flip site I would image having a recent pull on your credit, your second application will again be harder to get approved.
