cause it is
+1.
My only guess is that if UR counted for CP then nobody would use the SWA CC, just like nobody uses the CO/UA ccs as the UR cards have them beat.

Dear Shmelly,

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the Southwest
Airlines credit card account. I appreciate this
opportunity to provide you with additional information.

After further review of the account, I have found that the
credit card was mailed to the address on file as of
December 31, 2011. You should receive the card within
7-10 business days. If you do not receive the credit card
within this time, please contact us for further
assistance.

In addition, I find the enrollment offer for this account
is 25,000 Rapid Reward Points. Thank you for letting us
know you would like to take advantage of a different
offer. I have added 25,000 Rapid Reward Points to match
the offer that you received for 50,000 Rapid Reward
Points. The points will be sent to Southwest Airlines at
the close of your next billing statement. Southwest
Airlines request that you allow up to 30 days after the
statement closing date for the Rapid Reward points to post
to your Rapid Rewards account.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

So, let's say I'll be getting 100,000 RR pts from two cards right after 1/1. I know it's a little bit of a risk that it will still work but it was my only choice. Now I just need to get another 10,000 CPQ pts for a CP. But I won't have many BIS miles and I can't easily rack up 10k on the RR CC since I'm meeting spend on my SPG Amex.

What are the best transfer opportunities to get up to 110,000 CPQ pts? Thanks!

Looks like I'll be able to get about 3,000 CPQ pts for a work trip...
Would I get any extra CPQ pts for purchasing the flight on my SWRR visa?
Would I get more CPQ pts if I was on a higher than Wanna Get Away fare?

I have $200 in SW gift cards from Amex Plat. I'm guessing I could use those for a flight and get the CPQ pts, getting me another 1 to 2k.

Then let's say I'm 5k short. It looks like I can go from UR to Hyatt at 1:1 then a little under 2:1 from Hyatt into RR. So with 10k UR pts I could get up to 110k RR and get my CP. A little bit of a hit, but worth it assuming I can get 22 months of CP. I'll report back on how this works out!

I'd be surprised if it works.  Others have mentioned here that points transferred do not count towards the CP.

Simply untrue.
Hotel points and SWA card points do qualify.
UR points are specifically excluded.

You got me.  I read "So with 10k UR pts I could get up to 110k RR and get my CP" without reading the surrounding text :)  Shame on me.

Now if there was only a hotel program that was 1:1 to SW RR, so we could go UR > Hotel > SW RR at 1:1:1. :) :) :)

The annual fee hit on 1/1, so I have til 1/31 to cancel and get the fee back. Its going to depend on how long it takes for the bonus to hit my account. I'll keep you posted.

you get no fees back, you can cancel the card to avoid annual fee within first 30 days of $69 feel bill date.

but the concern here is, canceling 2  SW, personal and SW biz , AFTER A MONTH or a year later risks putting yourself in line for  BLACKLIST by chase.

do you have one RR number for both SW cards or different RR number?
