I applied for the Premier card, met the spend, and received the bonus. Just last month, I got the Plus card, and met my spend, with the last transaction posting only a day before my statement closed. Statement closed showing $2,122 (not including AF) spent. I received 2122 RR points in my account, but was told by chase that it will not trigger the bonus until next month due to the fact that I met the spend so close to the statement closing. Has anyone else seen this before?

Yes. You must finish the spend at least a week before statement closes

Well honestly, I had a few other cards that I was working on the spend for and was kind of neglecting this one. A few days before the statement closed, a company I order from charged my card without asking, for almost the exact amount I was still short. So I got my hopes up and then dashed.

I had a DROPR situation. Rep told me that the points should be coming into my account. Low and behold the points weren't there

I signed up for the rapid rewards plus card 60k and found a link for the premier 60k the same night..... when I finished filling out the premier application the page blanked out and said sorry this promotion is no longer available :( . I got the plus card today and really want to sign up for the premier ( I found the correct link with the 60k promotion) how long do I have to wait so that it doesn't affect my credit?
Thanks!!!!

Didn't think I'd have a problem waiting, but turn out I'll need to fly with the wife sooner than anticipated. Any chance I can close the statement earlier to have the points post sooner?

When did the last statement close?
The 4th I believe. Next due date is 8/1
I want to fly the first weekend of August.

You might be able to change it to the last week of July buy speaking with a supervisor. But it might backfire and not get the statement to close until the end of next month

Eh I'll just wait it out. The question is, when  do you think the CP will kick in? If statement closes on the 4th and I need to fly on the 4th... Maybe I'll be able to use it for the return.

It usually goes through a day or two after the statement closes

Gotcha. Thanks. I'll book us both one ways, and cancel hers if it pulls through I guess.

Points must be accumulated in one year. You have 104,000 from this past year?
