Does anyone know if they will move the current promo of 25,000 points back to the previous one of 50,000 points anytime soon?  Should I wait for it of just sign up now?

Thanks

It's anyone's guess. Though, if you do end up applying now, it doesnt hurt to try and match the 50K offer (though I've read that some are being denied).

Does it really matter which card you go with between the "plus card" or the "premier card"?  I know you get more annually with the premier and the annual fee is higher but does it affect anything in any other way or no? Does it possibly affect your ability to receive the 50,000 point match?

So much for the 50,000 point offer being "alive and well" comment earlier. There may have been a brief lag of allowable bumping to the old 50,000 offer after it ended recently but it looks like they have or are shutting the bump down. Which only makes sense. Why would they bump you to an old offer that is no longer available to the public? Only hope now is to either wait and see if they bring back the 50,000 point offer or apply now and hope the offer comes back within the next 90 days and then get bumped for the extra 25,000. I think I'll wait 'em out.

If you didn't apply, then how do you know this:

If my friend received a targeted mailer for the 50k offer from Southwest but he doesn't want it, can I use his code instead to apply for the 50k?

Doubtful.
But has anyone been denied 50K via SM?

How did you justify your request to be matched to an old offer? I understand why they would match an offer that's currently available but I don't see why they would match one that's not available. Maybe it's because they are still sending out lots of 50,000 point offers via snail mail and email? I guess in that sense then, the deal isn't dead despite the fact that you can't access a public offer.

Just got matched to 50K on SW today. I simply requested to be matched to the 50K mile offer that I see is being offered now.

I'm assuming that was the personal card bonus you were matched to. I need the business 50,000 for a companion pass. Wonder if they'd do the same there? But I haven't heard of any live 50,000 point offers for the biz, either public or targeted.

Not worth the gc's though IME as its 1 cpm.The flights are worth more.
No offense,  but that's a pretty obvious statement. The flights are relatively set value per point, and the I can't imagine the airline will ever let one redeem for more than that value.

SW had a promo last year for Amazon gc's that gave them a value of 1.25 cpm (I think)

yup but i think it was 1.2cpm and when you cashed out for walmart cards you could get then buy $600 of prepaid visa gc's for 50k points and like $18 in fees
