I have 55k RR points in an account from signing up for the plus a few months ago, I recently signed up for the premier and should be getting another 50K when the next statement closes.

Problem is that i just found out that they gave me the same RR# even though I tried using different addresses.

Do you think they will still give me the 50K bonus on top to give me 105K total or since I got the reward within the year they wont? Are my chances at a companion pass totally squashed??

She did realize you had the other one correct?
yes she did.
I said I need it for Southwest status.
She asked why I have so many cards . I told her I just started flying all over and I need United, Southwest, AA etc.

I just opened up SW biz and SW personal RR card's, to get the companion pass, could I spend the 2k per card to get the 50k points per card plus the additional 6k on southwest gift cards to get the 110k companion pass points threshold. Then use the gift cards for 1 ticket and the companion pass for the mrs's for the next year and a half?  Would this be a wise plan or would it be better to spend elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.

All credit card spending will count toward the companion pass.

Tickets bought with money or gift cards or miles, all will work.

Right now SW has Hertz check rental certificate, 4.5k for $50 worth.

What is this?

Is it like a CS voucher where you enter the codes in the PC OR you just pay the balance with the voucher(enabling you to use a different PC#)?

They have Avis too. Same deal?

southwest 50,000 bonus denial letter
« Reply #694 on: April 09, 2013, 12:05:17 PM »
I recently signed up again for the southwest premier cc to get another 50,000 bonus.

Then just yesterday I received a postcard letter from chase stating " the terms and conditions associated with the new account state that the premium is only available to new card members. Since our records show that you have taken advantage of this offer or a similar offer within the past 2 years, your account is not eligible to receive the premium. If you have any questions etc..."

The letter is correct; I had a card only a few months prior and got the 50k. I was unaware of this policy when signing up this 2nd time (although when I went back to the application screen and it does mention it in the fine print).

My question is:   Has anyone had this problem? Did I make some rookie mistake when I signed up? (I did use the same RR#) Is this a general issue when signing up for cc bonuses more than once? How can you get around it?

I called chase and spoke with a few people but no luck. My next option is to fax them a letter. Is it worth it?

Please advice oh masters of the forum!

Did you close the old card? Were you approved for the new card?

If you got the letter, I would assume that it's on your account and you won't get the bonus again.
